Our Miss Maine adventure and some sports questions about the new pope
Two brand new episodes for you all :)
Hey there Sports Gossipers,
We’re back from a weekend in Maine where we had a lovely stay at the Longfellow Hotel, ate some insanely good Vietnamese food at the restaurant Cong Tu Bot, bought some vintage LL Bean clothes and…hmm, what else….oh yeah, ATTENDED THE MISS MAINE PAGEANT. Featuring Jordon Hudson.
That’s right, after talking about Jordon’s relationship with coach Bill Belichick since October, we saw her in the flesh.
We have a full recap episode out now about our experience at the pageant. You can find it on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. You can even just click the YouTube embedded right here!
Also, thanks to everyone who has subscribed on YouTube and subscribed, rated, and reviewed the show on Apple and Spotify. If you have a second to rate and review, it would really help.
As always, our shameless plug that we are — you know it — doing this ourselves. If you’d like to support us and our show, please consider becoming a paid subscriber for $8/month or $80/year.
The recap includes getting tailed by a security guy named Chad, watching Bill lumber across the length of the entire stage, and getting very invested in all of the contestants.
Huge shoutout to both of our husbands, Tyler and Cutter, for driving each of us to Maine like the passenger princesses we are and providing us with production and moral support.
But that’s not all!
We got back from God’s Country and immediately recorded a normal weekly episode recapping all of the non-Jordon and Bill mess from the sports world over the past week (including a few updates on them, but we’re kind of having an existential crisis about how we cover the story now, so listen to this week’s Tuesday show for that!).
Once again, you can find it on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube.
The other mess included — unfortunately for Boston-fan Charlotte — talking about the injury to Celtics star Jayson Tatum and the fact that the Knicks are now up 3-1 in the second round of the NBA playoffs. But, for new-Knicks-fan Madeline, these playoffs are the start of something beautiful.
We packed a lot into this episode, including some celeb-athlete relationship hard launches, baby announcements, NBA draft lottery drama, company men, and a very important conversation about an expensive clothing store in Brooklyn.
There is also a new pope, and we promise this has to do with sports.
As always, thank you for listening, supporting us, and being the best sports gossip community we could’ve dreamed of.
XOXO,
Sports Gossip Girls

I’m begging all the Knicks fans to please read “blood in the garden”!! https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Blood-in-the-Garden/Chris-Herring/9781982132125
FYI there has been some great Figure Skating gossip in the leadup to the Olympics! Skaters coming out of retirement, Russian athletes being allowed to try and qualify, and all of the program announcements for next season.
